Pret-A-Chef: New Concept of Home Dining

Have you ever wanted to host a dinner party at home but don't know how to cook to impress? Or have you wanted to have restaurant standard but feeling too lazy or cold to go out? Or even have a special occasion you want to celebrate in the comfort of your own home? Well, I think I may have found the thing just for you.

Last night we had a dinner party at Allison's house. Allison and her lovely husband Rick were kind enough to host this dinner party and unlike any other dinner party I have attended, the hosts were sitting and chatting to us every minute until the food was served without having to pop into the kitchen every 5 minutes to check on something. Stress free hosting, I am liking this already.

Is it catering? No, Allison has hired a professional chef through the 'Pret-A-Chef' website to come cook for us. He goes and buys the ingredients, sends you a customised menu, comes to your house, cooks, serves, cleans up and leaves. Best part for me is the no cleaning up! And don't worry if you think you won't be able to afford it because Pret-A-Chef has a variety of chefs with different experiences and cuisine speciality. Price ranges from 20GBP up to 100GBP per person so you will definitely be able to find what you are looking for. We paid 45GBP for our dinner last night.

Wish I could cook this tidy

Salmon carpaccio with Salmon roe and Salted Cod shavings and lemon dressing
Oh and I forgot to mention that he also brought a loaf of rosemary bread which he made himself from home and you knew he made it himself as soon as you bite into it. It was so fresh and soft inside. We ate it so fast I didn't get a chance to take a photo!
